Once the scope is set, our structural engineers prepare the drawings and load calculations your project requires. We coordinate permits, engineering approvals, and municipal inspections so everything is documented and code-compliant from day one. Careful planning at this stage is what keeps the build safe, predictable, and on schedule.

This is where your new basement takes shape. Using engineered sequencing, we excavate beneath the existing foundation and extend the footings deeper in controlled sections. Your home stays fully supported throughout the process, and the foundation is reinforced to safely carry its load — the core of a properly executed underpinning.

With the structure in place, we protect it against moisture for the long term. We integrate waterproofing membranes, upgraded weeping tile, and drainage systems designed to keep your lowered basement dry. Addressing this while the foundation is exposed is the most effective time to safeguard the space.

In the final stage, we prepare your basement for finishing. New concrete floors are poured, the space is cleaned and inspected, and everything is left ready for the next phase — flooring, framing, in-floor heating, or a full living suite. We walk you through the completed work before handing it back.
